How to Issue a Prescription for Collection or Delivery
Learn how to create and issue a new prescription for a patient. This guide covers adding new patients, applying templates, and managing prescription items for both collection and delivery.

Log into your Signature Rx Portal

Click "Prescriptions"

Click "Add New Prescription"

Here you can select an existing patient

Alternatively, You can "Add a New Patient"

Fill out the patient details

Now you're ready to prescribe for your patient

Click "Add New" to add a medication to your prescription

Begin to type the medicine name, as you type you will see a dropdown box of relevant options

Select the medicine you wish to prescribe, including the correct dosage and formulation

Type in your dosage instructions

Type in the quantity you wish to prescribe
In the quantity field you can enter numbers and words as required.
For example you may want to write number of devices (for example: 1 inhaler)

To add more items to your prescription click "Add new" and fill out the respective fields of your new item

All your prescribed items will therefore be shown on the same form

Alternatively, you can load a pre-prepared template
This feature is very useful for specific treatment plans that include a number of medicines
