Pharmacy Can’t Find My Prescription | SignatureRx Patient Help Guide

The Pharmacy Has Said They Cannot Find Your Prescription

The Pharmacy Has Said They Cannot Find Your Prescription

We understand this can be frustrating, but in most cases the issue can be resolved quickly. This guide will help you identify the most common reasons a pharmacy may be unable to locate a prescription and the steps you can take to resolve it.

Check The Details Carefully

Please confirm the following information is correct:

  • Prescription ID – Entered exactly as shown
  • Date of Birth (DOB) – Matches your details exactly

Important:
An error will occur if either the Prescription ID or DOB is incorrect, and the pharmacy will not be able to locate your prescription.

Check the Date of Birth on the Prescription

In some cases, the date of birth on the prescription itself may be incorrect.

  • If the DOB on your prescription does not match your actual date of birth, the pharmacy may not be able to find it

Contact your clinic or prescriber to have this corrected as soon as possible.

Make Sure the Pharmacy Is Using the Correct System

Your prescription is issued by SignatureRx as a private digital prescription.

This means:

  • It is not available in NHS (EPS) systems
  • The pharmacy must search using the correct private prescription platform via https://signaturerx.co.uk/

Sometimes pharmacies may check a different system, which can result in them not finding your prescription.

If the Pharmacy Still Can’t Find It

If the issue continues:

  • Contact your clinic or prescriber
  • Or contact us so we can check your prescription and assist you

We will:

  • Confirm your prescription details
  • Check the status of your prescription in SignatureRx

Important:
If any changes are required (such as correcting your date of birth or prescription details), you will need to contact your prescriber directly, as we are unable to make prescription changes.

Tip: Common Reasons This Happens

  • Incorrect Prescription ID
  • Incorrect date of birth entered
  • Date of birth on the prescription is wrong
  • Pharmacy checking the wrong system (e.g. NHS instead of private)
