FP10CD User Guide
Once your clinic completes the Controlled Drugs Compliance Form provided by the SignatureRx team, the FP10CD feature will be enabled for all authorised prescribers on your account.
This guide covers how to create, sign, print, and manage FP10CD prescriptions.
The ADD FP10CD PRESCRIPTION button is available on:
- The Prescriptions page
- The Pending Prescriptions page
Clicking this button will take you to the FP10CD prescription creation screen.

Step 1: Select or Add a Patient
At the top left of the page:
- Search for an existing patient
- Or add a new patient if they are not already in the system
This ensures the correct patient information is prefilled on the FP10CD form.
Step 2: Add Medication Line Items
To add a controlled drug:
- Click Add New
- Enter the item description
- Add the dosage instructions
- Enter the quantity
- Optional: Add extra notes under Prescription Notes
Repeat this process for each item that needs to appear on the FP10CD form.
Step 3: Choose the Delivery Option (Optional)
If you dispense FP10CD prescriptions through SignaturePharmacy, select:
Print + Send to Pharmacy for Delivery
This ensures:
- You receive full status updates
- The prescription is sent directly to the SignaturePharmacy dispensary system
- Patients receive their medication faster
Step 4: Sign the Prescription
To issue the prescription:
- Enter your six-digit secure PIN
- Click the signing button
A green confirmation message will appear in the top right corner once the prescription is signed successfully.

Step 5: Print the FP10CD Prescription
After signing, you will be taken to the print preview screen.
Make sure your printer is set to A4 paper size before printing.
Step 6: Create the Royal Mail Returns Label
After printing your FP10CD forms, you can generate a returns label using this link:
Notes:
- One tracking label can be used for multiple prescriptions in the same package
- This ensures safe and trackable returns of FP10CD forms
Step 7: Track Your FP10CD Prescriptions
Issued FP10CD prescriptions are logged on the Prescriptions page.
By clicking the eye icon, you can view:
- Prescriber details
- Patient details
- Medication information
- Full prescription history
This provides full auditability and compliance for controlled drug prescribing.
