 What Is the Difference Between a Clinic and Prescriber Account

When you register on SignatureRx, you can choose between two types of accounts: Clinic and Prescriber. Each one has a different purpose and level of access.

 Clinic Account

A clinic account is ideal for settings where multiple doctors or prescribers work at the same location.
With a clinic account, you can:
  1. Add staff users to help with admin tasks
  1. Resend prescriptions
  1. Create draft prescriptions
  1. Manage and share billing tokens across all prescribers in the clinic
  1. Keep all invoicing in one central place
A clinic account gives teams a shared space for managing prescription operations smoothly.

 Prescriber Account

A prescriber account is for individual prescribers who issue prescriptions.
Prescribers can:
  1. Issue prescriptions directly
  1. Join and work under multiple clinics
  1. Create their own clinic if needed
Important: Patient and prescription information is not shared between clinics.
Each clinic operates separately, even when the same prescriber works across several locations.
